My name is Regina Latimer.  I am married to Jason Latimer and have two children Rachel (20) and Archie (10).  I have lived in the Hooks community for twenty-two years.  I am currently assigned to teach 5th grade math and 7th grade math.

I have been teaching public school for fifthteen years. I have taught all grade levels including college level courses.

I love teaching and tutoring math.  Math is everywhere around us and we use it everyday.  I enjoy bringing math into the classroom that applies to our world by using mini PBLs activities (project based learning).  Anything I can use to make math hands I try to incorporate.

We will use Accelerate Mathematics in 5th grade and 7th grade.  AM lessons are always be prior taught lessons.  After I have taught and quizzed on the TEK/OBJ. I will assign AM to access and see where the student is deficient in their math skills.  AM will send out practice for any TEK/OBJ the student may be weak.  This personalized assessment of each student is an amazing tool I can use to help your student become the best math student possible and fill in any holes he or she may have from previous years.
