My name is Shelley Gentry Hackett and I am the Hooks High School Counselor. I am proud to say that I attended Hooks ISD from Kinder through 12th grades and was a member of the graduating class of 1993. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to not only grow up in Hooks, Texas, but I also completed my student teaching at Hooks Junior High and taught 7th/8th grades prior to becoming the Counselor. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Reading Specialization in December  1997. Later, I returned as a student and completed my Master of Science in School Counseling in December 2008. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Aaron, for 24 years. We have two children Hayden (20) and Hallie (15). We also have a Mini-Aussie, Tex, that keeps us entertained.
